Master SSCC
Currently this page is under development! Check back later for more information!
1. How to create
- Picking Flow: In the case of master SSCC’s, an additional Sub SSCC’s weight value is shown. The value is calculated as the sum of the measured weight of the Sub SSCC’s.
- Packing Flow: When the “Allow to create master SSCC” option is enabled on the Pick list controller, it is possible to create a master SSCC during the packing. On the Select a task screen tap the Create master SSCC button to pack onto a master SSCC. Tap the “Create normal SSCC” button to pick onto a normal SSCC.
In the case of working with master SSCCs, first add the number of the identical master SSCCs and then add the number of identical sub SSCCs on a single master SSCC.
- Ad Hoc move: When the Allow to create master SSCC option is enabled on the Picklist controller, the system displays the Select a task screen. You have the following options:
- Tap the
Create master SSCC
button to pick onto a master SSCC. - Tap the
Create normal SSCC
button to pick onto a normal SSCC.
Not possible to create during Reception or Production flow!
2. How does it work
- Ad Hoc MovePossible to move as a unit.
To group the scanned SSCC into a master SSCC, press the ’Move to new master SSCC’ button then select the destination location.
- Picking Flow: Only in consolidation works as a unit (check this bug for more info: When performing the picking process it is possible to scan both master SSCCs and child SSCCs on the Scan a master/child SSCC screen of the Mobile Client. It is also possible to scan multiple batches from a master SSCC. WMS 2020.12
- Shipping Flow: Possible to ship as a unit.
3. Can be log carriers assigned
in Packing (see Packing controller settings) in Picking: logcar is always assigned to sub (but has the master as it's master) in Ad Hoc Move: not supported according to docu (http://wiki.produmex.name/doku.php?id=implementation:wms:adhoc_moves) Note: Assigning a logistic carrier to a Master SSCC is not supported. 7.2. Scan the destination location or GS1 label Scan the destination location or select it from a list after pressing the ’Select other location’ button.
To group the scanned SSCC into a master SSCC, press the ’Move to new master SSCC’ button then select the destination location. In case of a new master SSCC has been created, the ‘Warehouse: a new master LU has been created (702)’ print event will be triggered after the destination location had been selected, if the print event is defined.
Check if master SSCCs are supported in the following flows as well: Cycle count - no Sales Return - no Move order - yes Inventory Transfer - no
Picking Master SSCC
We should only show Batch information IF all the batches in the master SSCC that we are picking (i.e. in all child SSCCs) are identical. If we are picking multiple (different) batches from the same master SSCC, we do not show batch info.
(i.e. picking BATCH1 and BATCH2 from MASTER SSCC 111) We show batch info if we are only picking ONE SINGLE batch from Master SSCC. (i.e. we picking BATCH1 from Master SSCC that stores BATCH 1, BATCH2, and, BATCH3)
https://wiki.produmex.name/doku.php?id=implementation:wms:scanningscreens “Scan master/child SSCC” “When consolidating and using master SSCC, scanning as master SSCC is only supported if picking a single batch from a master SSCC, that only contains that batch. If case multiple batches need to be picked from the same master SSCC, it is necessary to scan the child SSCC individually. The possibility to pick Master SSCC also requires a full master pick, otherwise, WMS will automatically request to pick form the child SSCCs”
Scan a master SSCC
When performing consolidated picking, it is possible to scan both master SSCCs and child SSCCs on the Scan a master SSCC screen. Master SSCCs that contain multiple batches are also supported.
Note: The screen is displayed if the Consolidate items to pick? setting is enabled on the picklist controller.
Picking Flow
When performing the picking process it is possible to scan both master SSCCs and child SSCCs on the Scan a master/child SSCC screen of the Mobile Client. It is also possible to scan multiple batches from a master SSCC.
On the Scan a master SSCC screen items stored on different child SSCCs are listed on separate lines. On the first line the master SSCC is displayed, but on the other lines the child SSCCs are displayed.
Prerequisites Enable the following settings on the Picklist controller: Force the user to pick full pallet (Y) Allow to select the item to pick? (Y) Consolidate items to pick? (Y) Allow to create master SSCC (Y)
Steps Create initial stock Receive a total 15 pcs of an item. Receive 5 pcs on logistic unit 1 and 5 pcs on logistic unit 2 and 5 pcs on logistic unit 3. Consolidate the two logistic units into a master SSCC. On the client select Logistic > Move > Ad hoc movement > Multiple logistic units. Scan the 2 SSCCs and click Move to new master SSCC button. Then specify the destination location. Add sales order Create a sales order for 15 pcs of the item. Make sure that the shipping type is automatic shipping.
