The AI Chat is an extension plugin that enhances documentation search capabilities. It extracts context directly from Produmex DokuWiki pages, enabling the assistant to answer questions specifically related to the documentation. With this AI tool, users can easily find the information they need, just ask your question in plain language, and the bot will guide you to the relevant content.
Note
The chat model is called “Gemini gemini-2.0-flash”.The AI chat can work with mainstream browsers like Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. Depending on the web browser, the answers to the same questions may vary. Using incognito mode may cause search issues, and the bot might not be able to respond.
How to use the chat
- Open AI Chat by clicking the icon located in the bottom-right corner of any page.
- Type your Produmex-related question and wait for the response, which may include helpful answers and links.
- If the bot doesn’t provide a useful answer, try rephrasing your question using simpler, more direct language. Keep in mind that the bot functions like a search bar—it does not have all the answers.
- Ask follow-up questions or request step-by-step guidance. For example, you can ask: “How to install PMX WMS step-by-step?”
Known Limitations
While the AI chat assistant is a helpful tool for navigating the Produmex DokuWiki, there are a few important limitations to keep in mind:
1. Prompt Limitations:
- The AI performs best with clear, concise questions.
- Asking too many questions at once may reduce the accuracy or clarity of the response.
- Currently, the bot is available as a free test tool, which may result in certain prompt limitations. The exact number of prompts allowed per day is not clearly defined, so usage may vary.
2. Occasional Duplication:
- In some cases, the bot may repeat questions or answers unintentionally. This is a known issue and is being monitored for improvement.
3. Context Awareness:
- The AI can remember previous questions within the same session to provide more contextual answers.
- However, this memory is session-based and does not persist after the browser is closed.
4. Logged-In User Access:
- If you are logged in, the AI can also reference internal documentation pages.
5. Incognito Mode Limitations
- Using the AI chat in incognito or private browsing mode may interfere with search functionality, potentially preventing the bot from answering.
